March 2018
Visitors to Lodge Pollok are always most welcome and none more so than the Brethren of Lodge Albrecht Durer No 527, Nuremberg, Germany and their families. A welcoming ceremony and lunch was held at the home of Bro. Bruce Wallace PM and home hospitality extended by a number of the Brethren of Lodge Pollok.
A visit was arranged to tour the Royal Yacht Britannia and a Civic Reception was hosted by Glasgow City Council to celebrate the connections between both Lodges and the City. Baillie Glenn Elder of Lodge Langside No. 995 represented the City on behalf of the Lord Provost.
On the evening of 25 March an Entered Apprentice degree was conferred by the Brethren while the wives and families enjoyed a social event at Pollok Golf Club. Everyone joined together for Lodge Harmony later in the evening. Provincial Grand Lodge was represented by SPGM Bro. Gordon Heggie who later reported a terrific impression of the warmth and good feeling between the Lodges and the visitors in attendance.
The Lodge continued to grow with new initiates and affiliates. Visitations to Sister Lodges were well received and the Lodge was represented at many functions at regular meetings and social events.
