Annual Match – Lodge Pollok v Lodge of Edinburgh (Mary’s Chapel) No. 1

The annual match, played for over a century, between our two lodges took place at Buchanan Castle Golf Club on Sunday 29th May in warm sunshine. Each side had 9 players with 5 matches played.

A close fought tie saw Lodge Pollok emerge as 3-2 winners and retain the trophy. An excellent day’s golf in a wonderful venue was followed by a superb dinner. Our best stableford winner was George Waddell, brother of John. Well done to George.

The fine weather, forgiving course, excellent food and drink and the genial companionship of no less than seven lodges coming together on the day made for an excellent day out.
